Hauone Studio is a full-service design practice with experience across residential, commercial, interior, healthcare, and civic projects. While the scale and program of our work may vary, our approach is consistent: design begins with aspirations within space, then shaping architecture that both belongs to its place, supports the goals of its inhabitants, and inspires those who encounter it.
Hauone means “from the earth.” Our Studio speaks to both our origins and our vision. We carry with us the understanding that the land is more than ground to build upon—it is the foundation of identity, culture, and community. From this perspective, architecture is never separate from its context; it grows out of it, shaped by the histories, ecologies, and people who inhabit it.
Place-Making
For us, place-making is central to us as architects. Place is not simply a physical site — it is an adaptive interface between users, programs, and architectural systems. In this way, place-making is the joining of the architecture and the people and activities that animate it.
We believe that design has the power to connect the physical and the experiential: to make movement intuitive, to evoke memory through light and material, and to reflect cultural identity in ways that feel both timeless and adaptable. Whether shaping the intimacy of a home, serving the customers of our community, the complexity of a healthcare environment, or the civic presence of a public building, Hauone Studio seeks to create places that are grounded, resilient, and deeply human.
